Lynbrook Students Receive All-State Music Honors
Lynbrook High seniors will perform at the New York State School Music Association Winter Conference in December.

Lynbrook High School seniors Jonathan Cuevas, Leah Elefante, Marc Levine and Gabriel Polinsky have been chosen to perform at the 2015 New York State School Music Association Winter Conference on Dec. 3-6 in Rochester, New York.
Jonathan qualified to perform in both the All-State Symphony Orchestra and All-State Mixed Chorus. This is the second year that he received All-State honors. Leah will be performing in the All-State Women’s Chorus. Marc was chosen as an alternate for the All-State Symphonic Band. Gabriel qualified for the All-State Symphony Orchestra. However, since he was previously chosen to perform in the All-National Concert Band in October, NYSSMA rules do not permit him to also perform in the All-State ensembles. This is also the second year that he received All-State honors.
These four students join the proud and growing ranks of dozens of Lynbrook High School All-State musicians chosen over the years. Performing at this conference is one of the highest honors bestowed on high school music students in New York State. Thousands of students auditioned for this honor at NYSSMA solo evaluation festivals held across the state last year.
