Lynbrook Wrestler Places Second In Eastern States Classic
He has also set the school record for most career wins.
Lynbrook High School senior Matthew Swanson placed second in the 2017 Eastern States Classic Wrestling Tournament.
With a 37-3 season record and 155 wins in his five years of varsity wrestling, Swanson holds the school record for the most career wins. He also placed first in the South Side Wrestling Tournament.
Swanson, who is team captain, has committed to continue his wrestling career at the University of Binghamton in the fall. He was recognized for his accomplishments at the Feb. 8 meeting of the Lynbrook Board of Education.
