Malverne Honors Valedictorian And Salutatorian For Class Of 2021

MALVERNE, NY — At its April 20 meeting, the Malverne Board of Education honored Ronaldo Atiencia and Gabriel Ciccarello, the valedictorian and salutatorian of the high school's class of 2021.

Atiencia has a GPA 105.01 and will be graduating with an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors with Mastery in Math and Science. In addition, he is a recipient of an AP Scholar with Distinction certificate. He was a member of many organizations and clubs, including the National Honor Society, the high school marching band, Varsity Scholars Club, Vex/First Robotics Club and high school Media Club. Atiencia was also team captain of the boys varsity soccer team and a mentor for the Summer Soccer Clinic. With a love for math and science, he plans to attend Columbia University in the fall to major in chemical engineering.

Ciccarello will be graduating with a 104.67 GPA and an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors with Mastery in Math and Science. He hass accomplished many things during his time at Malverne, including being named an AP Scholar with Distinction. He was also a member of the Varsity Scholars Club, the National Honor Society and the high school Media Club. With a passion for helping others, Ciccarello is very involved in his local church and is an avid community service advocate. He plans to attend Liberty University in the fall.
