Malverne Student Named One Of Long Island's Best Young Artists

MALVERNE, NY —A Malverne Senior High School student has been selected as a Best Young Artist.

Elijah Croom was recognized by the Heckscher Museum of Art for his winning submission, "Sky's Beauty," the Malverne Union Free School District said in a statement.

It's on display at the Huntington museum virtually and in person until May 23.

There were more than 300 submissions from high school students across the island.

The exhibition features statements from each artist student and videos about the selected artwork.
