Malverne's Blue Ribbon Campaign

Line the streets in your neighborhood with blue ribbons to show your support for law enforcement.

As you know Law Enforcement officers all over the country are being attacked in person and in the media daily. Many are retiring early due to the stress, and many young people are switching their career choice.

Did you know? There were a record 228 suicides of Police Officers in 2019, and 110 so far this year. I would like to start a "Blue Ribbon Campaign" to show our support for the men and women that wear the blue to protect when we call.

Please tie a blue ribbon on your tree, lamppost, pole or on your house to show them as they go to work in the city, county or drive through village that we see them and know that we thank them for being there for us, and we have their back. Also, think of purchasing a blue lightbulb for your front light in honor and memory of 9/11, which is coming up.

You can purchase a ribbon at party stores or go to any florist to have them make custom one for you. and 8" ribbon in royal blue looks great. Good to support for their business too.

Thank you for your help in lining our roads in blue for the officers that live and work in our beautiful, safe communities.
