Nassau PD: July 4 Weekend DWIs

A rundown of arrests and crimes reported in the Fourth Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate guilt.

Arrests

  • On July 4 at 4 a.m., -Ryan Tannenbaum, 41, of West Hempstead, was arrested for DWI at Hempstead Avenue and Front Street in West Hempstead.

  • On July 4 at 3:20 a.m., Hose Cordova-Banegas, 38, of Huntington, was arrested for DWI at Strafford Road and Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead.

  • On July 6 at 3:15 a.m., Tahisha Sheriff, 39, of Elmont, was arrested for DWI at Courthouse Road and New Hyde Park Road in Franklin Square.

  • On July 6 at 4 a.m., Ana Ardon, 32, of Freeport, was arrested for DWI at Hempstead Turnpike and Stratford Road in West Hempstead.

  • On July 7 at 3:45 a.m., Rigoberto Bermudez, 28, of Central Islip, was arrested for DWI on Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead.

  • Case Reports

    • Between 12:30 a.m. on July 4 and 3:30 a.m. on July 5, landscaping equipment was stolen from a locked shed in the parking lot of the Franklin Square Public Library located on Lincoln Road.

  • Between 5:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on July 5, an unknown suspect(s) damaged the exterior of the complainant's vehicle on Lawrence Road in West Hempstead.

  • Between 10 p.m. on July 5 and 8 a.m. on on July 6, an unknown suspect(s) stole an XM radio received from the complainant's vehicle on Washington Avenue in West Hempstead. No damage to the vehicle was reported.

  • Between 12 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on on July 6, a complainant discovered the convertible top of their vehicle had been cut by unknown suspect(s) at the corner of Cedar Street and Hempstead Gardens Drive in West Hempstead.
