Our Lady of Peace Band Marches in NYC St. Patrick's Parade

OLP Marching Band continues annual tradition.

For more than 40 years the Our Lady of Peace Marching Band unit has been performing in the NYC St. Patrick's Day Parade. The award-winning group dazzled all those who braved the snowy weather on Saturday once again.

The OLP Marching Band Unit is made up of the color guard, twirlers and band players. This amazing group of students work very hard under the direction of Ann Szalai and is a collaborative effort with the help of Mr. Fisher (band teacher), Lorraine Ubriaco (twirling), Elsa Poteat (uniforms), Mary-Ellen Tachiera (color guard), Ann Marie Reardon (parent helper) and Gloryfe Jahab (parent helper).

The marching band Unit is made up of students from Our Lady of Peace School in grades 4-8. They also marched in The Garden City St. Patrick's Day Parade and will march in the Lynbrook Memorial Day Parade in May.
