Popular Nassau Roller Rink Likely To Close

Hot Skates, the popular Lynbrook roller rink, is likely closing its doors soon.

According to Newsday, Lynbrook Village officials said that a new company is purchasing the building, and plans to tear it down to build a self-storage facility.

The skating rink has been the site of multiple shoots for movies and television, and has also been the backdrop for photo shoots and celebrity pictorials. Drew Barrymore, Tina Fey, Kevin James and more have all shot at the location.

The Hot Skates website says the rink will be open for skating for the remainder of the year, at least.
