Southern State Parkway Closures To Greet Drivers Saturday
Ramps will be blocked to traffic for several hours Saturday in Malverne.
Malverne, NY — Drivers should allow for a few minutes Saturday as the Southern State Parkway entrance ramp will be closed at exit 17.
The New York State Department of Transportation said the ramp will be blocked off from northbound Hempstead Avenue to the eastbound side of the Southern State due to guide rail repairs.
The closure is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The ramp from the adjacent Emerson Drive will also be shut.
Motorists are advised to continue north on Hempstead Avenue and loop through the interchange ramps for eastbound access to the parkway.

Drivers are encouraged to act responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.
