Trespasser on Tracks in East River Tunnel Causing LIRR Problems
BREAKING: Numerous trains are being canceled or diverted this morning.

The Long Island Rail Road is canceling and diverting trains at Jamaica Station Thursday morning due to a person on the tracks in one of the East River tunnels.
It's unclear why the person is on the track, but the LIRR says they are "unauthorized" to be there.
Westbound commuters can transfer at Jamaica for LIRR service to Atlantic Terminal and then 2/3 service into Penn Station.

So apparently there is a trespasser in the tunnel on the approach to Penn Station. Announcement said they cut the third rail power (and air conditioning) and we are just sitting here underground. @LIRR @MTA #eerilyquiet

LIRR conductor just said they’d come around to check and see if anybody has any “issues” while we sit here powerless in the tunnel. Uproarious laughter. #lirr @PeopleofPennSta

Got diverted to Hunterspoint Ave, fun times! Now time to cram into the 7 train to transfer into the worst/biggest subway stations (Times Square or Grand Central, pick your poison) to take an even longer ride to work @BetchyCommuter @LIRR #LongIslandFailRoad
