West Hempstead's Justin Harvery Wins Bernie Ward Commitment Award for Kellenberg Memorial's Freshman Track Team

On March 12, 2015, Kellenberg Memorial High School held a banquet to honor its winter athletes. Individual awards are given out to some of the more outstanding athletes. Head coach Juan Estrella wrote this of Justin Harvey. Our Bernie Ward commitment award winner goes to a young man who excelled in the sprints and the jumps and has been eager to run since he was on our Latin school team. Justin Harvey displays the kind of commitment that even his varsity teammates can benefit from. Justin finished 3rd and 4th place in the long jump at both the freshman league and intersectional championships respectively. Justin was also a integral member of our freshman boys 4X200 meter relay which garnered 3rd place medals at the freshman league championships and a 4th place finish at the intersectional championships. Justin not only gets better in his events, but he makes others around him better. Our Bernie Ward commitment award winner is Justin Harvey.
