1 Nice Day, 1 Miserable Day This Weekend On Long Island

If you are looking to enjoy some fall or Halloween-related outdoor activities (check out our pumpkin picking and haunted house guides) on Long Island this weekend, Saturday is the day. Skies will be mostly sunny with a high near 61.

On Sunday, you won't feel guilty about plopping yourself onto the couch and watching hours of football or the latest hit Netflix series. It will be pretty awful outside.

Steady rain is likely through much of the day Sunday. Wind gusts may top 30 mph in the afternoon.

"Widespread minor to moderate coastal flooding is possible during the Sunday morning high tide cycle, with minor to locally moderate coastal flooding possible during the Sunday evening high tide cycle," the National Weather Service said in a hazardous weather outlook issued for the entire South Shore and the North Fork.

The rain will come to an end by early Monday and dry conditions will return along with above-normal temperatures reaching the mid-60s in many areas.

Friday Night- Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. Southwest wind around 7 mph becoming northwest after midnight.

Saturday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 61. North wind 6 to 10 mph.

Saturday Night- A 30 percent chance of rain, mainly after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. Calm wind becoming southeast 5 to 8 mph after midnight.

Sunday- Rain, mainly after 9a.m. High near 64. Southeast wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Sunday Night- Rain, mainly before 9 p.m. Low around 53. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Monday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 64.

Monday Night- Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49.

Tuesday- A chance of drizzle or light rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
