Brooklyn Man Charged With 2020 Massapequa Murder: Police
Police say Thomas Massenburg shot three people last July 4, killing one of them.

NORTH MASSAPEQUA, NY — Nassau County police have arrested and charged a Brooklyn man for a 2020 shooting that left one person dead and two others injured.
According to police, officers received a call for shots fired on West Drive in North Massapequa at 11:17 p.m. on July 4, 2020. When they arrived, they found three people had been shot.
Rashawn Cummings, 21, of Hempstead, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other men were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. They were both in stable condition.

On Wednesday, Nassau County police arrested Thomas Massenburg, 20, of Brooklyn, in connection to the shooting. Massenburg is charged with second-degree murder. He is scheduled to be arraigned later today.
