Coronavirus Prompts Starbucks To Ban Reusable Cups
Starbucks will still give customers a discount if they bring in reusable cups, but they won't be able to use them over coronavirus fears.

The continued spread of the new coronavirus, or COVID-19, has caused disruptions around the country. Now, Starbucks is making changes to address the threat.
The international coffee giant announced in a letter to investors Wednesday that it will no longer allow the use of personal cups and the "for here" cups customers ask for. Those who bring in their own cups will still get a 10-cent discount but they won't be allowed to get them filled with java.
"First and foremost, the health and well-being of our partners and customers remains top of mind and our highest priority, and we will continue to act thoughtfully and courageously despite the disruption and uncertainty COVID-19 brings to our daily lives," Starbucks Executive Vice President Rossann Williams said in a statement.
