Fourth Of July 2019: What's Open, Closed In Massapequa
Some services will be closed in Massapequa for the Fourth of July through the rest of the week.
MASSAPEQUA, NY — As families across the United States celebrate the Fourth of July with fireworks, cookouts, and a much needed day off of work, many services will also take a break for the holiday.
Massapequa Village Hall will be closed on July 4, and the Public Library will also be closed for the day. Other services such as the Sunrise Mall will remain open on Independence Day, but have altered hours.
Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo also announced that state troopers and local law enforcement agencies will increase patrols to combat intoxicated driving during the holiday from June 29 through July 5, according to a news release.

Here are the openings and closings you need to know about in Massapequa:
Massapequa Village Hall: Closed on July 4. Opened for its regular hours on Wednesday, July 3 and Friday, July 5.
Massapequa Courts and Clerks Office: Closed on July 4. Opened for its regular hours on Wednesday and Friday, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Massapequa Public Library (Bar Harbor + Central Ave): Closed on July 4. Opened for its regular hours on Wednesday and Friday.
Post Office: (80 Killians Road): Closed on July 4. Opened for its regular hours on Wednesday and Friday.
Westfield Sunrise Mall: The Westfield Mall will close at 7 p.m. on July 4, two and a half hours earlier than its usual 9:30 p.m closing time. Hours will return to normal on Friday, July 5.
