Hazardous Winds Blow Across Long Island
The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather warning for the area until 4 p.m.

LONG ISLAND, NY — The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for Long Island Monday as strong gusts of wind are expected for most of the day.
The warning applies to Long Island, New York City and Westchester County, as well as parts of New Jersey and Connecticut. It's in effect through 4 p.m.
Winds are expected to average 20-30 mph and gusts will hit 50 mph, according to the weather service. The gusts could knock down tree limbs, causing property damage or power outages.

The good news is Monday will be beautiful, aside from the wind. Skies should be clear and sunny all day, with highs in the low 50s.
