Long Island Weather: Hot, Sunny Week With Possible Thunderstorms

LONG ISLAND, NY — Summer is officially here, and this week is sure going to feel like it. Temperatures will be high, and there will be a mix of sun and possible storms all week. But when it's sunny, it will be perfect weather for social distancing at the beach.

This week will see highs in the mid to upper 80s all across Long Island, according to the National Weather Service, with nighttime lows in the upper 60s.

There are likely to be thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon, and possibly again on Wednesday. But after that, it's clear and sunny skies for the rest of the week and into the weekend.
