Long Island Weather: Rainy Start To The Week Gives Way To Sun

There's a good chance of rain and thunderstorms early in the week, but things should hopefully clear up by July Fourth.

LONG ISLAND, NY — It looks like Long Island will be facing some wet weather this week before things get sunny again later on.

Unlike the beautiful and sunny weather we had for nearly all of last week, the beginning of this week looks like it could bring a lot of rain, according to the National Weather Service. There are rain and thunderstorms in the forecast for tonight, as well as a chance of rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, too.

Things should clear up later in the week, though. And it looks like it will stay clear through the holiday weekend.
