Massapequa Opens Registration For Summer Recreation, Sports Camps
The district is holding summer activities again this year, and you can sign your kids up now.
MASSAPEQUA, NY — The Massapequa School District announced that its Summer Recreation and Sports Camps will be offered this year and are open to all students residing within the district. There will be changes to the programs to comply with state guidance for social distancing and COVID-19 safety protocols.
Summer Recreation, for children entering grades K-5, will be held from July 6 through Aug. 6, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the elementary buildings. Due to construction, East Lake’s program will be housed at McKenna Elementary School. The cost is $120 per week, per student.
The teen program for students entering grades 6-8 will take place at the Ames Campus each day from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $100 per week, per student.
The week-long sports camps will begin June 28 and run through July 30. Sports include baseball, basketball, cheerleading, field hockey, football, golf, gymnastics, lacrosse, soccer, softball, track and field, volleyball and wrestling. Eligible ages, costs and locations vary depending on the camp.
