Massapequa Park Holding Memorial Day Car Parade

Instead of a traditional parade, the village will pay respects with a parade of cars. Find out how you can watch the procession.

MASSAPEQUA PARK, NY — Instead of a full parade this Memorial Day, the Village of Massapequa Park will be holding a car parade in partnership with the American Legion and VFW.

Though vaccinations are on the rise, the coronavirus is still a concern, especially with large groups of people. So instead of having people march through the streets, the village will have a parade of cars to pay respect to the fallen service members who gave everything for the country.

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. on May 31 at Parking Field 1, which is at the rear entrance of the Sgt. Peter F. Colleran VFW Post 7763. It will then head north on Park Avenue, from Front Street to Arthur Street, for residents to view.
