Once I waited for a job. I went for an interview, and they seemed quite pleased.

But no one contacted me.

Once I expected a promotion, but it never came. Then I found another opportunity elsewhere.

But,

Once I met him unexpectedly, and my life changed forevermore.

Once I sent a manuscript along with a SASE, and it was never returned, but I received a check.

Once I didn’t wait, but took a chance, and I’ve never been sorry.

Once I dared to dream, and magically most of them came true.

Now, I find myself doing both.

Today while I wait for those who I love to contact me I remember our yesterdays, but no longer wonder about tomorrows,

Because I have at last learned neither to fear nor worry.

Because I have known miracles and now believe that “The best is yet to be .”
