Overnight Snow Keeps Workers Busy in Massapequa Park
Streets cleared by Wednesday morning according to mayor.

Unlike the last storm, which fell during nighttime hours, the snow started during the day Tuesday.
Â
THat gave workers a chance to get streets cleaned by Sunrise, according to Massapequa Park mayor Jeffrey Pravato, who said he manned a plow from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.Â

Pravato said that residents cooperated by taking cars off the street. Â "The response was much better than last time," he said. "There were still a few cars, but for the most part people listened to us."Â
Meanwhile, Massapequa began to get back to normal Wednesday as the library re-opened at at 11 a.m. It was a shortened day as the announced a 5 p.m. closing.
