Oyster Bay Town Collects More Than 12,000 Pounds Of Food At Drive
The town's "Cruise Thru Food Drop" in Massapequa was a big success, collecting thousands of pounds of food for Island Harvest.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino and Councilman Tom Hand recently hosted the town's "Cruise Thru Food Drop," held in partnership with Island Harvest Food Bank, aimed at helping meet the increased need for food donations for local families.
The drive-through food drive was held in the parking lot of Marjorie Post Park in Massapequa and helped to restock local food banks throughout Long Island.
All in all, the food drive collected more than 12,000 pounds of nonperishable food items to feed hungry families.
