There is a sea of red White and Blue outside John H. West Elementary School.
Volunteers from the Plainedge High School's Key Club and the Massapequa Kiwanis club planted about 200 flags for the  school's annual Field of Honor.
The project honors veterans and also benefits local veterans who need support.
A ceremony was held dedicating this year's field featuring local vets, students and school officials. Student Jake Friedman sang the national anthem.
