Will things clear up for New Year's Eve? Check out the full forecast.

The second to last day of 2019 will be a wet one on Long Island. Temperatures well above the freezing mark will keep the precipitation all rain, but there are coastal flooding concerns for Monday.

There's the potential for minor flooding of vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline Monday afternoon. The highest risk is for southern Nassau County, the National Weather Service says.

Rain, possibly heavy times, is likely throughout the day Monday. It will also be quite windy. The strongest wind gusts are expected across the East End during the afternoon and into the evening, and could approach 30-35 mph at times.

The rain should begin to taper off around midnight and end completely by rush hour on Tuesday morning. The rest of New Year's Eve will be dry, but bundle up if you are heading out at night as temperatures will be in the low-30s.
