Town Honors Massapequa Park Man For His Patriotic Campaign
Brett Moore raised money to install American flags on telephone poles throughout the village of Massapequa Park.

MASSAPEQUA PARK, NY — This week, the Town of Oyster Bay honored Massapequa Park resident Brett Moore for his effort to install American flags on telephone poles throughout Massapequa Park.
Moore created a GoFundMe campaign to raise the money to install the poles throughout the village. The project was planned to coincide with Memorial Day.
“Brett is a true patriot that loves his nation and those who serve in it," said Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino. "Brett believes there’s nothing more important that giving back to the men and women of our United States Armed Forces who were wounded in the name of their nation. We commend him for his love of country, community and unwavering support of our veterans."

After the GoFundMe campaign met its goal, Moore donated all of the surplus funds to the Wounded Warrior Project, which is a charity that works to support wounded veterans around the country.
