Wet, Chilly Week In The Forecast For Long Island

This weekend was gorgeous. Unfortunately, Mother Nature has decided to make up for that beautiful weekend by giving Long Island a chilly, wet week.

After a record-setting warm weekend, we can look forward to temperatures that are a bit above average, but still chilly. And a good chance for lots of rain, too.

Temperatures are going to be in the mid to high 40s during the day for most of the week, and drop into the 30s at night. There's also rain predicted for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. And the temperature is only going to drop as the week goes on. There's even a chance of snow as we move into the weekend.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 37. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of rain, mainly after 3 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 45. East wind 5 to 7 mph.

Tuesday Night: A 40 percent chance of rain, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. Light and variable wind becoming west 5 to 7 mph after midnight.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 48. West wind around 8 mph.

Wednesday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers after midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 39.

Thursday: A 40 percent chance of showers before noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 48. Breezy.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 26. Blustery.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 33.

Friday Night: A 30 percent chance of snow after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26.

Saturday: Rain and snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 45. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Saturday Night: A chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
