Will Long Island's Memorial Day Be A Washout?
Those looking for a hot and sunny holiday weekend may be disappointed by the National Weather Service's forecast.

LONG ISLAND, NY — Those who are looking forward to getting outdoors and seeing family and friends after being cooped up all winter may be a little disappointed. Weather forecasts show that much of this Memorial Day weekend is going to be chilly, and may be rainy most of the time.
According to the National Weather Service, the highs for Friday through Monday are going to be in the 60s, with Saturday's high predicted to reach only 61 degrees.
On top of the cool weather, there's a lot of rain in the forecast for the long weekend. Rain is practically guaranteed for Friday night into Saturday, and will likely continue for most of the day on Saturday. There's also a chance of rain on Sunday. Luckily, the forecast shows things clearing up for Monday.
