MASSAPEQUA, NY — The United States and France are set for a powerhouse matchup in the quarterfinals of the 2019 Women's World Cup, on Friday, June 28 at 3 p.m.

The U.S. team came into the tournament as the overall favorites to win the trophy and, so far, they've met those lofty expectations. The 23-player roster from the United States have won all four of their games, including a 13-0 thrashing of Thailand.

Star player Alex Morgan is the joint high goal scorer in the tournament with five goals, and the team's defense has only allowed one goal in the four games. But the competition is only going to get tougher for the Americans. The team had to rely on two penalty kicks to defeat a strong Spanish foe.
