130 LIRR Employees Made More Than $200K Last Year
See the full list of workers who cracked the $200,000 mark in 2014.

One hundred and thirty Long Island Rail Road employees made more than $200,000 in 2014, according to payroll data recently added to the Empire Center for Public Policy’s transparency website, SeeThroughNY.net.
And plenty more were paid six figures.
The payroll data released on Thursday revealed one in four Metropolitan Transit Authority employees were paid more than $100,000 last year. The percentage of six-figure earners is well higher for LIRR workers.

The average pay for an LIRR employee was $106,103 in 2014, a 27 percent increase over 2013. The pay increase was partly due to $431 million in retroactive pay paid by the authority in 2014 following union contract settlements, according to the Empire Center, a non-partisan, non-profit independent think tank based in Albany.
The MTA paid $849 million in overtime on top of $4.78 billion in regular earnings in 2014.
