2 Killed In Chain-Reaction Crash In Suffolk County
One man was pronounced dead at the scene and another died at the hospital Saturday night, police say.
YAPHANK, NY — Two men were killed in a chain-reaction crash in Suffolk County Saturday night, police said.
According to police, 70-year-old Robert Manganaro was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban north on the William Floyd Parkway and was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Yaphank Woods Road when a 2017 Honda Accord driven by Clydon Bazzey crashed into the Suburban at about 7:30 p.m.
The impact of the crash sent the Suburban into the intersection where it struck a 2018 Nissan Maxima.

Bazzy, 41, of Mastic Beach, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. Manganaro, of Yaphank, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Maxima was taken to the same hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
