Brookhaven Fair Shut Down on Opening Night After Fight
The 18th Annual Brookhaven Fair did not get off to a good start at its new location Friday.

MEDFORD, NY – The opening night of the 18th Annual Brookhaven Fair was shut down early after a fight broke out, Suffolk Police said.
Police responded to a report of a fight at the fair on Long Island Avenue in Medford at about 9:41 p.m. There were no serious injuries or arrests.
As a result of the fight, the fair was closed down for the night.

It's the first year the fair, which runs over four weekends, is being held at The Fairgrounds, a half-mile east of Exit 64 on the Long Island Expressway.
