Elementary School Adopts Domincan Student

From Eagle Elementary: Eagle Elementary students ran a fundraiser to sponsor a child from the Dominican Republic.

Their efforts enabled a child named Amanda to attend school for free and to have healthy meals every morning.

This sponsorship program is called “Project Hope” through Genesis Church in Medford, N.Y.

Her school is called Fountain of Hope. Eagle’s Student Government will continue the relationship with this school and community by fostering a Spanish/English pen pal program.

In previous years Eagle students have raised money in order to provide water filtration to this community, as well.

Eagle will continue to support these efforts through Student Government run by Ms. Taylor and Ms. Engel.
