Flood Advisory Issued For Parts Of Long Island
BREAKING: Check out the towns the National Weather Service says could see flooding tonight.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Nassau County and Western Suffolk County on Wednesday night.
The advisory will be in effect until 11:45 p.m.

* At 1017 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause minor flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area. An area of heavy rain was approaching the southern coast of Nassau County and will move through the advisory area through midnight. Up to an inch of rain will be possible.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...Levittown, Freeport, Valley Stream, Long Beach, Huntington Station,Lindenhurst, Glen Cove, Plainview, Garden City, Massapequa, Lynbrook, Syosset, Mineola, Huntington and Woodmere.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
