The rain should end by mid-morning Sunday on Long Island, but winds gusting to close to 50 mph may cause some problems through the afternoon.
A wind advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Strong winds may blow down limbs, trees and power lines, the National Weather Service says. Scattered power outages are expected.
As of 8 a.m., PSEG Long Island is reporting just a couple hundred power outages across the island.

Sunday- Showers, mainly before 8am. Temperature falling to around 46 by 5pm. Breezy, with a southwest wind 20 to 24 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 47 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
