Representatives from Long Island companies will be seeking to connect with seasoned tech workers as well as computer science students on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at the Long Island Tech Job Fair at LaunchPad in Huntington.

Companies including eGifter, WebAir, Envelopes.com, Topaz Lighting, Bowen Media and more will be there to fill technology-related positions. Non-tech companies are welcome, so long as they have tech positions to fill, said Andrew Hazen, a LaunchPad cofounder.

The idea for a job fair came about after the LaunchPad’s LI Tech Day in August, which drew about 700 people, Hazen said. At the August event, attendees kept asking: Who’s hiring?

Shortly after, plans for the job fair began in earnest.
