As a father of four, I have always thought it is important to give back to our community, and help change the lives of those around us for the better.

As a businessman who oversees a $1.2 million budget for a pharmaceutical company, our product changes the lives of countless people for the better.

As a resident of Blue Point, volunteering is an important part of the lives of myself, my wife and my family. I’m proud of the work I have done to raise funds for the American Cancer Society, and how I have helped my community by donating my time as vice president of the Bayport-Blue Point Little League and as a member of the Patchogue-Medford Youth Services committee.

It’s this work I have done in our community that made running for office as a member of the Town Council a natural next step.

We live in a wonderful place in southeast Brookhaven, but without someone watching out for the interests of our community, everything our families have invested into their homes and neighborhoods could be lost. The crash of the housing market, changes in the economy, the ever increasing pressure of development and the burden of high taxes are challenging our residents now more than ever.

My campaign has focused on the issues important to the residents of the Fifth Council District. I support Supervisor Ed Romaine’s Three Point Budget Plan of cutting debt, building reserve funds for the future and demanding accountability in budgeting by eliminating waste to hold the line on taxes while maintaining critical services.

In our neighborhoods, I am committed to improving the quality of life for our residents by going after banks that own abandoned buildings, and knocking down those eyesores that lower local property values.

I have also focused on ways to attract businesses and investment to come to Brookhaven, creating jobs and improving our economy.

We need to create opportunities, and a secure future, for our children. We need to make smart choices that grow our economy and create jobs, while protecting the nature and character of our communities. Most important, we need to make sure that Brookhaven remains an affordable place for our families, senior citizens and young people to live.

I hope I can count on your support on Election Day - Tuesday, November 4 - to be your next representative on the Brookhaven Town Board for the Fifth Council District.
