Police Investigating 2 Armed Robberies In Medford

A gas station was robbed at knifepoint and three people were robbed at gunpoint when they exited a car, police say.

Suffolk police are investigating two armed robberies that occurred in Medford on Sunday.

The first one occurred around 3:10 a.m. on Winged Foot Drive. Police say three people exited a vehicle when they were approached by two men who displayed what appeared to be handguns. The gunman took cash and jewelry.

The second robbery occurred at the Speedway gas station at 3203 Route 112 at about 3:24 p.m. Sunday. An unknown man threatened an employee with a knife and stole cash from the register and cigarettes from behind the counter before fleeing the scene.

No injuries were reported in either robbery and no arrests have been made.
