Birch Students Extend the Holidays
Students and staff collected collected new and unwrapped toys for children in Winthrop Hospital's Pediatric Center.

Birch Elementary School students recently participated in Senator Charles Fuschillo's “Extend the Holidays” toy drive.
Students and staff collected new and unwrapped toys for children of all ages.
“Each year, Birch’s students and staff do an outstanding job collecting toys for this program, and this year was no exception," Fuschillo said.
Fuschillo organizes the toy drive every year for the benefit of children in Winthrop Hospital’s Pediatric Center.
The toys will be delivered to the hospital after the holidays so that children can experience the joys of receiving a new toy after the holiday season and throughout the year.
Fuschillo said that the Birch community did a great job.
"I really appreciate their hard work and generosity and thankthem for participating in this program once again,” he said. "Each toy they collected will help brighten the spirits of children in Winthrop Hospital."
