Calhoun Seniors Are Semifinalists For Coca-Cola Scholarship

MERRICK, NY — Calhoun High School students Skylar Basco and Jordan Novak are among 34 Long Island high school seniors named semifinalists in the 2021 Coca-Cola Scholars Program.

Additionally, they are among the top 2 percent of students chosen nationwide. Students are evaluated based on leadership skills, academic achievements and community service.

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program is an achievement-based award. There will be 150 finalists nationwide who will receive $20,000 scholarships. Basco and Novak are awaiting notification for the next round.
