Cops: Man Tried to Rob East Meadow Bank Wednesday
The man presented a demand note to a teller but left before getting any cash, police said.

A man tried to rob an East Meadow bank Wednesday afternoon but left before getting any cash, according to Nassau County Police.
At 2:41 p.m., a man entered Capital One Bank, located at 369 Merrick Ave., and handed a demand note to a teller, police said. Before receiving any cash, however, the man quickly fled on foot, cops said.
Five employees and one customer were inside the bank at the time, officials said. No one was reportedly injured.

The man was black, in his 40s, 5-foot-6, and was wearing a light green bucket hat, green and brown plaid shirt, and beige cargo pants, police said.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
