Crime Report: Merrick Man Causes Crash, Restaurant Ordered to Pay Back Wages
The following arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department; it does not indicate a conviction.

- On Dec. 9, The U.S. Department of Labor ordered the owner of Xaga Sushi in Merrick and Hewlett to pay $261,887 in back wages and damages to 70 low-wage workers.Â
- A Merrick man was arrested after he was allegedly was under the influence of drugs when his vehicle was involved in a head-on crash on Dec. 10.Â
