Denenberg to Host Hurricane Sandy Workshops

Due to the high turnout at a Dec. 11  meeting, County Legislator Dave Denenberg, D-Merrick, will hosting two additional forums on how to apply for Superstorm Sandy Assessment Relief for tax years 2012-2013 and 2013-2014. 

The first will be held at Merrick Public Library on Monday, Dec. 23 at 7 p.m. and  the second will be Freeport Memorial Library at 144 W. Merrick Road on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 7 p.m.

Any resident whose home was damaged by Superstorm Sandy must file an application for a reduced assessment with the Nassau County Department of Assessment by Jan. 21, 2014.  The application and assistance  will be available at the upcoming forums.
