Early Christmas Eve Closures

Need to tie up some loose ends before Christmas Day? You can do just that, but some businesses will be closing early on Christmas Eve.

Take a look at some of these early closures: 

1. Supermarkets: If you need to get some last minute items for your holiday gathering, get to the grocery stores early. Stop & Shop will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and King Kullen on Sunrise Highway will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Both grocery stores will be closed on Christmas Day.

2. Post Offices: All post offices in Merrick and North Merrick will be open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

3. Libraries: The Merrick Public Library will be open from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and North Merrick Public Library will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

4. Candy Shops: Need to pick up some sweet goodies to stuff in your stockings? Chocolate Works of Bellmore-Merrick will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will stay open longer depending on traffic. 

5. Gyms: Want to burn some calories before your holiday meal? Most gyms in town will be closing early.
