John Deegan, a Merrick resident and veteran of the US Marine Corp died on Dec. 13.Â
He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth, loving father of Kevin (Christine) and William (Marie) and the dear grandfather of Kaitlin, John, Sean, Jennifer.Â
Family will receive friends on Wednesday at 2-4 p.m. and 7-9p.m. at Hungerford & Clark Inc. Funeral Home at 110 Pine St. in Freeport.Â
The religious service will take place on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. and the  interment will take place on Thursday at Greenfield Cemetery.
