Man Shot While Getting Into His Car In Roosevelt
Police say two shooters shot at two men, hitting one of them twice. Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
ROOSEVELT, NY — A man was shot twice in the early morning hours in Roosevelt on Sunday, and Nassau County police are investigating.
According to police, officers responded to a call to Nassau Road at 2:16 a.m. for a report of a man shot. When the officers arrived, they found a 25-year-old many lying in the driveway of a home with gunshot woulds on his left hip and lower leg. A 27-year-old man told the officers that the two were about to get into their car when two unknown men fired several shots at them.
The first shooter was Hispanic, with a thin build, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, wearing a dark red hooded sweatshirt, a blue surgical mask, dark jeans and was brandishing a silver handgun. The second shooter was also Hispanic with a thin build, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a blue surgical mask, dark pants and was also holding a silver handgun.

After the attack, both shooters fled on foot south on Nassau Avenue.
The gunshot victim was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he is in stable condition. The second man was not injured.

Police ask anyone with information about this shooting to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous, and you cold receive a reward if your information leads to an arrest.
