Robert E. Brinsley, of Merrick, died on May 2.
He was the husband of the late Lillian. He was also the father of Richard, Robert, Russell and Raymond. He was the brother of Carol Holt.
Brinsley is survived by five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The religious service is Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Charles G. Schmitt Funeral Home Inc., located at 3863 Merrick Rd., in Seaford. Interment will follow at Greenfield Cemetery in Hempstead.
Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project at P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
