Merrick Native Patricia Murphy Passes Away

Patricia Murphy, who grew up in Merrick, died on Sept. 28.

She was born in New York and received a BA from SUNY Buffalo. 

She met her husband, David, on a trip to San Francisco in 1979. They were married on November 4, 1979 in the Unitarian Church on Franklin Street in San Francisco.

Upon the family's moving to Petaluma in 1987, she began the Learning Tree Tutoring, which after 25 years is still going strong.

She is survived by her husband, Dave and her son Dennis. She was predeceased by her first son Ryan in 1997.
