Nassau County Detectives Investigating Smoke Shop Shooting: Cops
A 62-year-old Roosevelt man remains hospitalized in stable condition after being shot in the leg by an unknown suspect Friday, police said.
MERRICK, NY – A 62-year-old Roosevelt man remains hospitalized on Monday after Nassau County Police say he was shot in the leg while standing outside a local smoke shop Friday night.
Police have not identified the name of the victim, who remains in stable condition after the shooting which took place just after 10 p.m. on Friday in the 100 block of Nassau Road. Detectives reported that the man was standing outside of the smoke shop when an unknown suspect shot him in the left leg and then fled, police said.
Police did not release any further information about the incident or any description of the suspect. Police continue to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. Callers may remain anonymous.
