“Isaiah Cust is accused of stabbing Jalil Burton to death in broad daylight on a Roosevelt street,” said Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas. “Jalil Burton was a young father with his entire life in front of him. My office is committed to holding the defendants responsible for their senseless actions.”
According to Singas, around 10 a.m. on Oct. 25, Cust stabbed 27-year-old Jalil Burton multiple times during a fight outside a home on Brookside Avenue in Roosevelt. After the fight, which Singas said Munroe saw, Cust fled in Munroe's car.
